However, when India declined to travel to the neighboring country for the Champions Trophy 2025, it left Pakistani fans disappointed. They expressed their frustration when the Pakistani team arrived in Dubai to play against India.

Pakistan fans voiced their disappointment talking to InsideSport during India vs Pakistan match , stating that India made the wrong decision by not traveling to their country. They emphasized that everyone in Pakistan was eager to welcome the Indian team with their hospitality.
Champions Trophy hybrid model with India matches in Dubai
The hybrid model was implemented for the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan after India refused to travel to Pakistan. Pakistan had travel to India in the ODI World Cup 2023, but India have not visited the country since 2008. Asia Cup was also held in Pakistan where India had the same demand and therefore Sri Lanka was added as a co-host to host India’s match in Asia.

India secured a comfortable victory against their nemesis. The key highlight of the match was Virat Kohli’s return to form, as he scored a century. India won by six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium.
