India’s top-tier domestic cricket tournament, Ranji Trophy 2024-25 is near its conclusion. The final match between Kerala and Vidarbha will take place from 26th February, where the teams will be eyeing the trophy. Players from 30+ teams contested and played their best cricket to achieve milestones, some had a good season, while some saw a bad ending. However, young players have overall impressed with their skills in the tournament throughout the season. While Veterans scored runs, the youngsters were also impressed with their skills. Batters who impressed in Ranji Trophy season
Yash Rathod, a 24-year-old batter from Vidarbha impressed everyone so far, in the 9 matches he has played so far, he scored 933 runs with an average of 58.31. The batter had the duty of coming at number 6 and put on a steady innings, which he did perfectly. His best innings came against heavyweights Mumbai where he scored 151 runs against the giants. So far, he is in the third position in all-time top scorer, while, he has one more match to go.
Another batter from Chhattisgarh, Aayush Pandey has had an impressive season in 2024-2025, scoring 744 runs in 12 innings for CGR. Averaging 67.63, the 21-year-old hit two centuries and three fifties, with a top score of 211 which came against Assam. He also bowled on three occasions but went wicketless. He finished as the fourth-highest scorer in the season.

Harsh Dubey has done magic with the ball
At just 22, Harsh Dubey from Vidarbha has carried the team from the bowling end. The left-arm finger spinner dazzled with 66 wickets in the 2024-2025 season. His brilliant economy rate of 2.74 and best figures of 6/36 show his dominance. With seven five-wicket hauls, Dubey’s consistent excellence makes him a standout, with one final match yet to bolster his record.
Another promising bowler, Mahesh Pithiya has impressed with 38 wickets in the 2024-2025 season. The 23-year-old from Baroda has best figures of 6/25 and an average of 20.57, he maintains a disciplined economy rate of 3.01. His three five-wicket hauls highlight his knack for impactful bowling performances.
