Ο Yashasvi Jaiswal είχε ένα κακό ρεκόρ μπόουλινγκ στο αριστερό χέρι στο Tests και άρεσε στον Mitchell Starc.
There’s no doubt that Yashasvi Jaiswal has a huge ceiling as far as his potential is concerned. He is an all-format willow-wielder, who likes to dominate opposition with aplomb. However, just like every batter, Jaiswal has his own chink in the armour, and Mitchell Starc might have exploited his problems. We are just at the halfway mark in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), and Jaiswal has been outdone by Starc three times.
How did Mitchell Starc dismiss Yashasvi Jaiswal?
Yashasvi Jaiswal fell within the first over, undone by a clever field placement and sharp execution by Australia. Facing just the second ball of the match from Starc, Jaiswal was tempted by a full delivery on leg stump, seemingly perfect for a flick. However, the Australian skipper Pat Cummins had anticipated this and placed Mitchell Marsh at short mid-wicket. Jaiswal went through with the shot on the up, only to find Marsh perfectly positioned to take a straightforward catch, leaving India stunned.
This was a calculated move by the Australians, as Starc once again exposed Jaiswal’s vulnerability against deliveries aimed at the leg stump.
