MI owner Nita Ambani revealed that Hardik and his brother Krunal faced financial struggles, surviving on Maggi noodles while playing local tournaments to sustain themselves.
Ashwani Kumar
The left-arm spinner has emerged as a key discovery for Mumbai Indians this season after his match-winning performance against KKR. Identified during the Sher E Punjab T20 Trophy 2024, Ashwani impressed with his pace variations and became the first Indian to take four wickets on IPL debut.
Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah, initially doubted for his unconventional bowling action, got his break with MI in 2013. He impressed on debut with 3/32, and since then, has become India’s standout bowler. Ranked No. 1 in ICC Test bowling, he was also Player of the Tournament in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Tilak Varma
The promising youngster from Hyderabad was signed by Mumbai Indians in the 2022 season and quickly established himself as a crucial part of the squad over the next three years. After an outstanding 2023 season, Varma earned his India debut and is now a regular in the T20I team.
Vignesh Puthur
Ashwani, discovered during the 2024 Sher E Punjab T20 Trophy, has impressed this season with a match-winning performance against KKR. Known for his pace variations and wide yorker, he became the first Indian to take four wickets on IPL debut.
